Winter Skincare Routine

We’re in the peak of winter, and while the cold never bothered me anyway (I’ll see myself out now) it definitely bothers my skin. Having sensitive skin in cold weather can lead to painful chapping, dry patches, and misery all around. Certainly doesn’t help when I get breakouts and makeup will not lay right to cover them. However, I think after a few years of being into this skincare thing and some trial an error I’ve found a routine to beat those dry-skin-scalies.

2018 Blogging Goals

Gone is another year, another chapter in our lives, and thus the pages turn to welcome in new beginnings and new opportunities. It’s hard to believe how fast the year has gone by; 2017 was a wild ride, but so much has happened, I started my blog, my social media platforms, my book, and I’ve gained some wonderful followers. These accomplishments are only the foundation for the new year to come, where the real building starts. So, I’m starting the year off with some blogging goals to prepare for what’s ahead.

December FairyLoot Box

I love subscription boxes. There is nothing better than looking forward to a package of goodies every month to perk you up. Being a book nerd I had to check out a book subscription box, so I decided to give FairyLoot a try. Their ‘Oh So Regal’ theme sounded quite interesting and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

(If you don’t want to be spoiled to the contents of the box if you haven’t gotten yours yet, then you might not want to read this post until later.)

Mask of Shadows Review: Journey of a Gender-fluid Assassin

I Needed to Win.
They Needed to Die.

Sallot Leon is a thief, and a good one at that. But gender fluid Sal wants nothing more than to escape the drudgery of life as a highway robber and get closer to the upper-class―and the nobles who destroyed their home.

When Sal steals a flyer for an audition to become a member of The Left Hand―the Queen’s personal assassins, named after the rings she wears―Sal jumps at the chance to infiltrate the court and get revenge.

But the audition is a fight to the death filled with clever circus acrobats, lethal apothecaries, and vicious ex-soldiers. A childhood as a common criminal hardly prepared Sal for the trials. And as Sal succeeds in the competition, and wins the heart of Elise, an intriguing scribe at court, they start to dream of a new life and a different future, but one that Sal can have only if they survive.

November Favorites 2017

Hello again, lovely people of the internet. It’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything, which is a shame, but I’ve been absent for good reason. I’m in the process of writing my first YA fantasy story and was trying to update my site as you can see so I was a bit MIA. However, I’m back with my November favorites to finish off the year strong and welcome in the holiday season.

November 2017 Writing Goals (I’m writing a YA Novel!)

There, I’ve said it, I’ve thrown it out to the internet and screamed it to the heavens – maybe now I’ll write the damn thing. It’s been a long time dream of mine – since I was 5 to be exact – to be an author. I’ve made excuses and lazed about on it for years, but no longer. I am writing a book, and this blog is going to keep me accountable. To do that, I’m going to start a series of writing goals and updates on my process to keep myself motivated and to give the kick in the ass I’ve been needing for years. What better month to start it all off than November? Not only is it my birthday month – 22 ya’ll! – but it’s also National Novel Writer’s Month – talk about starting with a bang. Three Musketeers of a Quick Beauty Routine

BareMinerals is by far one of my favorite beauty brands in existence. Their products are marketed for the everyday woman and the beginner, which I love. Their products are also made with ingredients that will help heal and product the skin while wearing it, like skincare. Which is great, because who doesn’t want the best of both worlds?

October 2017 Favorites

Another month gone, another month begins. September flew by so fast, and it seems so is the rest of 2017. It’s hard to believe that it’s been six months since I started this blog and that it’s only two till the new year. Crazy how fast time goes by, but that’s why it’s important to cherish every moment we’re given. No one wants to spend the majority of their days getting ready. So I’m here to share my favorites from the month that made getting ready a little quicker.

Confidence In Your Skincare

Skincare is one of my all-time favorite things. I am a firm believer that if you take care of your skin, the more confident you’ll feel. Why pile on heavy makeup when you can let your natural beauty shine through? IT Cosmetics believes in that philosophy as well and has come out with a range of products dedicated to building your confidence. I promise this post isn’t sponsored, I just seriously love their skincare line and I think if you give it a shot, you may like it too.
