There, I’ve said it, I’ve thrown it out to the internet and screamed it to the heavens – maybe now I’ll write the damn thing. It’s been a long time dream of mine – since I was 5 to be exact – to be an author. I’ve made excuses and lazed about on it for years, but no longer. I am writing a book, and this blog is going to keep me accountable. To do that, I’m going to start a series of writing goals and updates on my process to keep myself motivated and to give the kick in the ass I’ve been needing for years. What better month to start it all off than November? Not only is it my birthday month – 22 ya’ll! – but it’s also National Novel Writer’s Month – talk about starting with a bang.
November Writing Goals
Because it’s NaNoWriMo, I am going to participate in the tradition of attempting to write my novel over the course of this month. For those of you that don’t know about it, NaNoWriMo is where authors spend the entire month of November writing every day in the hopes of completing a 50,000 word novel by the end. It’s pretty much the month of authors hermiting ourselves in our rooms with our faces shoved in a screen. Fun, but also effective. And I’m going to complete it. Or try, at least.
And that’s the only real goal I’m setting for myself this month. It’s a big one, but I’ll let you guys know at the end how it goes. Thank you all for the support thus far and I hope you’ll continue to support me on this journey.
See ya next time!
