June 2017 Favorites!

First ever monthly favorites! Woo! I always love watching favorites on Youtube or reading about them in people’s blogs, so I thought I would try my hand at one this go around. I haven’t tried too much this month, as I tend to be a creature of habit, but I think I have some bits and bobs that would be nice to share.

SheaMoisture African Black Soap Bar: This thing is a life saver, I swear. For the last few months, I’ve been battling with another onset of acne. The spots and pigmentation were driving me crazy and my acne medication just wasn’t cutting it anymore. I didn’t want to go to the Dermatologist just to get another medication, so my mother suggested I use this bar day and night for cleansing, and let me just say it is a miracle worker. Within a few days of using it my acne cleared up and the pigmentation started to fade faster than it ever had, and now a month later I’m still acne free. Definite knock on wood. I just hope it stays like this, but so far so good. If you’re having issues with acne I highly recommend using this for cleansing.

It Cosmetics Confidence in an Eye Cream: I haven’t been using this for the whole month, but I have at least had a 2-week trial and I have to say it is amazing. A little goes a long way and I really feel like it’s helped to dimension the puffiness of my eye bags and make them a little brighter. I’ve always suffered from dark under eyes, ever since I was a baby, but this seems to be doing a good job. Not sure if I’ll repurchase when it is done though. Might try something new.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer in Fair: Girl, do I love this stuff. I have never found a drugstore concealer that looks so natural, covers wonderfully, and doesn’t smudge off my face within a few hours. I’ve used my tube to death and will definitely pick it up again soon. It’s a thick constancy, but blends like a dream and doesn’t gather at the corners of my eyes like other concealers tend to. 10/10 definitely recommend.

Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil in Demolition: I need the entire collection of these. My goodness gracious, these pencils are amazing, beautifully pigmented, last all day with no unwanted smudges, they are the best. I have been having the hardest time finding a good eyeliner pencil that wouldn’t melt on my oily eyelids and this has definitely checked off all my boxes for an amazing eyeliner. I’m really interested in the more bright and fun colors so I’m going to have to pick more up.

Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Hair and Body Moisturizer: I found this in my parent’s bathroom pantry and….it may have found itself in my bathroom storage now. I’ve never been one to do much with my hair on a daily basis, I’m just far too lazy, but this leave conditioner makes my locks feel smooth and soft and tangle free. Having naturally curly hair, it can sometimes knot itself up in the night, but this stuff has helped a ton. It also smells like mint, which is great for stress relief at the end of the day.
