5 Cleansers for Sensitive Skin

Let’s face it (pun not intended), people don’t take care of their skin as well as they should. So many people think they can simply wash their face with whatever soap they have and they’ll be fine. Or worse, acne prone people will reach for the peroxide or salicylic acid that causes more harm than good. It especially doesn’t help if you’re on strong acne medications to help battle those pesky breakouts, which 9 out of 10 times leaves you with sensitive skin, pealing, and dry. Seeing as I’m in the latter category, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite cleansers to help battle the breakouts and help to soothe irritated skin.

The line up:

Aveeno Ultra Calming Foaming Face Wash: This stuff is the bomb. It’s very gentle, but gets my skin clean and free of any dirts and oils that could cause more pesky breakouts. Best part is it’s drugstore, so it’s easy to find just about anywhere.

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser: Another drugstore favorite that is amazing. It feels as if you’re washing your face with silk and leaves your skin clean and hydrated after every use. It’s perfect for anyone having skin irritation and can also be used on eczema legions anywhere else to cleanse and soothe.

Juice Beauty Milk Cleanser: A little higher in price, but so wonderful. It’s milky, creamy, and super hydrating, plus it takes makeup off like nobodies business. I highly recommend you get it as a little treat to yourself, it’s so worth it.

SheaMoisture African Black Soap: This bar lasts for ages and is amazing on your skin. Formulated with raw Shea Butter it hydrates, cleanses, and the African Black Soap helps slowly fade pigmentation from acne. The best part is if you have super sensitive skin, but still breakout it won’t irritate but will help treat the breakouts.

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Mild/Extra Mild: OG product right here, but that is exactly why I have to mention it. Clinique is great for good quality skincare that won’t break the bank or irritate your face. I find the Mild version of the soap is just fine, cleanses and doesn’t dry my skin, but if you’re worried about being extra sensitive than I recommend the Extra Mild version to be on the safe side.

I hope this helped you find something new and exciting to spice up your routines. Let me know what else you’d like to see from me in the comments, it would be a big help!
